Corum Replica had already established itself in Spanish-speaking countries by the early 20th century. A large part of its success was due to the close relationship it shared with the football world. In 1934, Real Madrid coach Francisco Bru wrote a letter to the Swiss watchmaker,www.trustytimenoob.com in which he emphasized the importance of Corum Replica chronographs in the training sessions of the Spanish Champions. The heritage of the Swiss watchmaker was the inspiration behind the creation of the vintage mono-pusher Chronograph with its classic design and advanced mechanics.
The new 50s Presidents' Chronograph heritage is sized to meet the current standards. The 42mm case, crafted from 316L stainless steel with beautifully polished finishes, is mounted on a black Louisiana alligator leather strap with steel pin buckle. The dial is available in three different variations: a black dial with brown transfers, an "eggshell white" dial with black transfers, and a silver dial with blue transfers. The dials are identical to the historical models, with a minute track and chrono sub-dials, as well as a pulsometric meter scale, followed by "Gradue Pour 30 Pulsations". The sub-dial for small seconds is at 9 o’clock, and the chronograph 30-minutes takes up the position of 3 o’clock.
A high-quality Calibre-V-57 self-winding mechanism is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. It can be operated by a single button. The mechanism is made up of just 105 components and 25 rubies. It oscillates at 28,800 vibrations an hour, and has a 42-hour power reserve.
